Your runs. Your rivals. Your next goal.

Pace Gauge is a running comparison community where you can compare workout stats across apps and devices, compete with other runners on competition leaderboards, and create challenges with friends and new rivals. Keep using the apps and watches you already love. Bring your stats into Pace Gauge to understand your own performance and see how you stack up against the community.

Challenge friends. Meet new rivals.

Create a competition, name your challenge, set its start and end dates, and choose participants from registered runners. Bring friends together or include strangers from the Pace Gauge community. Browse All Competitions, find the challenges you are part of under My Competitions, and follow each participant on the competition leaderboard.

Compete your way, or chase a goal together

Choose group distance to work toward a shared target, individual distance for a personal mileage challenge, average pace for a pace goal, or most runs to reward consistency. Competition leaderboards rank participants by the selected goal, with shared workouts from the competition period contributing to results. Distance goals support kilometres or miles.

One workout, more than one recording

Recorded a run on two devices? Bring in each summary, label its source and compare the available metrics side by side. Keep alternate recordings under one workout so the same session does not count twice toward training volume.

Different workouts, a continuous history

Changed your running app or watch? Compare workouts from before and after the change in a running performance comparison dashboard. Match activity types and time definitions before interpreting a difference as progress.

Import. Review. Compare.

1. Bring a readable PNG, JPEG or WebP workout screenshot, a supported GPX file, or manually entered stats. 2. Review and correct the values, source and units before saving. 3. Open Compare in the app to choose two recordings or workouts. Screenshots are not automatic account connections.

More ways to move. More stats to compare.

Running is the starting point. The logging form also supports treadmill workouts, walks, hikes and elliptical sessions. Compare pace, distance, time and other available workout metrics, including heart rate, cadence, calories and elevation when present. Pace is not useful for every activity. Recovery and readiness scores are not imported.

A community that notices the effort

Follow shared workouts in the World Dashboard, browse recent activity and workout categories, and cheer each other on with likes and comments. Accolades highlight the longest run, fastest pace, longest time and most active runner in the loaded feed. Competition leaderboards give your friendly rivalries a place to play out.

Your history. Your colours. Your choice to share.

Keep your personal workout history in My Runs, view distances in kilometres or miles, and record effort levels and notes alongside available metrics. Personalise your runner name and card colours. New workouts start private; choose sharing when you want confirmed details included in the signed-in crew feed and competitions. Imported source images stay private.

FAQ
Can I compare myself with other runners?

Yes. Shared workout cards let you see how others are doing, and competition leaderboards rank participants by distance, average pace or run count according to the challenge. World Dashboard accolades also highlight notable performances in the loaded community feed.

Can I create competitions with friends and strangers?

Yes. Set a name, dates and goal, then choose participants from registered Pace Gauge runners, including friends and people you have not met. Creators select the participants; browsing a competition does not automatically enter you.

Which workouts count toward competition results?

Shared workouts from the listed participants during the competition dates contribute to results. New workouts start private, so explicitly choose sharing when logging or importing a workout you want included. Private workout details and source images do not appear in the community feed.

Do I need to switch running apps?

No. Keep recording where you already do, then bring supported files, readable workout screenshots or manually transcribed values into Pace Gauge. There is no background syncing.

Can I compare Garmin and Apple Watch runs?

Yes, using recorded workout summaries you bring yourself. Garmin Connect GPX exports have a parser; Apple Watch workout values can be entered from Apple Fitness summaries. Apple Health database exports and direct watch connections are not supported.

Can I use Strava screenshots?

The scanner accepts readable completed-workout screenshots as images, not a Strava account connection. Check every extracted field before saving. Source-specific layouts are not guaranteed; manual entry is the fallback.

What happens when information is missing?

Missing measurements remain empty and appear as Not available in comparisons. Unclear images need correction or manual entry; they cannot supply a complete GPS route, split chart or time series.

Does importing show which device is accurate?

No. Different sensors, GPS sampling, pauses and calculations can change recorded results. Comparing recordings makes differences visible; it does not establish accuracy.
